Sheboygan Mayor Proposes Cuts That Would Put Library Under MOE

Mayor Bob Ryan's proposed 2011 budget would eliminate 24 employee positions, including 3 staff at the Mead Public Library, and would put the library funding below "maintenance of effort" required for membership in the Eastern Shores Library System. Funding for the library would drop $207,419, or more than 20 percent from the total provided in 2010, according to a report in the Sheboygan Press today.
