First Annual Sheboygan Children's Book Festival October 15-17

An outstanding slate of award-winning children's book authors and illustrators - including Avi, Kathi Appelt, Calef Brown, Lois Ehlert, David McLimans, Matt McElligott, James Dashner, Keiko Kasza, and Barbara Joosse - is scheduled to appear.  The Sheboygan Children's Book Festival is a free, public event for kids, teens, families and book lovers of all ages.

The children’s book festival includes author talks, illustrator workshops, keynote address by Newbery Honor winner Kathi Appelt, a dramatic performance reading by acclaimed author Avi, and a panel discussion on early literacy with Madison pediatrician Dr. Dipesh Navsaria and Karin Menzer, youths services librarian at Mead Public Library, Sheboygan.
