Minocqua Public Library to ask voters for $1.6 million

The Minocqua Public Library will ask voters to approve $1.6 million in borrowing for an 11,700-square foot expansion and remodeling project in a November 3 referendum. Director Mary Taylor, in a report from NewsoftheNorth.net, stated that the current library has just 4,800 square feet and no meeting rooms or rest rooms. She said that this past summer was the busiest ever, with 700 people per week using the Internet and computers.
